028/366 - TimeLapse, take 2

This is a series of 7,290 photos taken on my 40 minute ride home from work. I have a TimeLapse iPhone app that creates an HD video and puts it to music … It’s set to “Asphalt Cowboy” by Jason Aldean. I’m not sure how long it will stay up on youtube because I think it’s flagged for copyright reasons! Whoops!

027/366 - Time Lapse, take 1

I downloaded this new app for my iPhone that takes a picture at a pre-defined interval for a set amount of time (for example, one picture per second for 45 minutes) … then you can put the compilation to music and make a time-lapse video out of it. It’s pretty cool but the video is too large to upload so I took a couple pictures from the time lapse to upload here. I also made one looking out the windshield.

026/366 - HD Vision
I got a new pair of glasses after six years with the same prescription. I really only use them to drive though. My optometrist told me I have 20/20 vision but I need these to read distance. (Not actually moving in this picture..was at a stop light!)

024/366 - Old Hickory
Built in 1827, the “Old Hickory” Tavern, Hotel, and Restaurant has stood vacant for over 20 years. I saw a photo of this place on Tumblr and had to see it for myself. I took the trip to Coudersport to check it out. It’s amazing that such an intriguing building is boarded up and vacant.

023/366 - Jersey Shore
Welcome to Jersey Shore. Not to be confused with the television show or the seaside vacation spot; the only shoreline here is along the Susquehanna River. The town of Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania is 250 miles from the shore of New Jersey. In the late 1700’s, each side of the Susquehanna had a settlement in this area. Apparently the folks on the Western shore of the Susquehanna were originally from New Jersey. The folks on the Eastern Shore referred to the Western Shore as the “Jersey Shore” - a name which stuck and became the official name of the town in 1826.
